SS26: David Catalán Brings "PROBLEMS" to Milan Fashion Week

David Catalán will present his new Spring/Summer 2026 menswear collection at Milan Fashion Week Men’s. Layered silhouettes and fusion of tailoring with streetwear — Catalán brings to the runway this season, a collection titled "PROBLEMS."

SS26: What to expect

The David Catalán SS26 collection draws inspiration from Portuguese craftsmanship, particularly the manta alentejana — a traditional woven blanket — and the guizo, a bell historically used by shepherds. These cultural references are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, forming the foundation for new silhouettes, fabrics, and styling approaches.

This season’s pieces explore the tension between rigid and fluid forms, combining the usual oversized tailoring, technical outerwear, and layered constructions. The focus is on textural contrasts, functional details, and a subdued color palette rooted in both rural and industrial influences.

David Catalán continues to evolve his signature menswear language by blending utilitarian cuts with experimental textures, offering a collection that feels grounded yet forward-looking.

Continuing his successful partnership with Callaghan Shoes, David Catalán integrates this capsule of footwear. Building on their previous collaborations—from SS15 to recent collections—this latest offering blends Callaghan’s signature comfort technology with Catalán’s vision.

The Runway

The David Catalán runway show will be part of the official Milan Fashion Week Men's Spring/Summer 2026 calendar. The show will happen on June 23, 9:30 am, at the prestigious Fondazione Sozzanni in Milan. As one of the few Portuguese fashion brands presenting at Milan, this show reinforces Catalán’s position within the European menswear landscape.

The runway show will be live streamed as part of the official Milan Fashion Week Men’s digital programming. The stream will be accessible via the official website of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, allowing the global followers of the brand to tune in live.

The runway is also supported by Portugal Fashion, the main promotional platform for Portuguese design co‑organized with ANJE under the Portugal 2030 programme. Through this initiative, Portugal Fashion actively facilitates Portuguese brands in entering top-tier international fashion weeks — including Milan — by providing production support, trade-show coordination, and strategic exposure.
